This Dragon Castle Box is made of ceramic clay and was all hand carved and sculpted. From making the lines for the bricks to making each individual brick that frames the windows, it was a labor of love and perseverance. The inside of the box is a deep blue glaze that offsets the darkness of the outside. The dragon not only serves as a focal point on the castle but is also the handle to lift the lid off of the box. The dragon is also very detailed with scales and claws in addition to the horns. For my largest ceramic sculpture to date, I am very pleased with how well everything turned out.
Bodie Island Lighthouse

Acrylic painting of the Bodie Island Lighthouse from a photo taken during a family trip to the Outer Banks Islands.
This painting, done in acrylic, is one of my favorite paintings that I have done so far. The time I spent making the proportions look correct for the lighthouse and especially the reflection and wind lines in the pond were challenging, yet very satisfying with the detailed and accurate results. I enjoy painting accurate scenes more than any other type of painting, and I feel delighted about how well I captured the Bodie Island Lighthouse.
Sugar High
I really love how these ceramic donuts turned out. There was so much work involved with making them, but that work and detail makes all the difference. I had to hand carve the frosting and lay it over the donuts. Also, each sprinkle was individually made and glazed then place on the donuts.
Arwen’s Heart
This wood carving is a rendition of the necklace Arwen wore in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. I enjoyed carving it, and while there are improvements I would make if I were to redo this project, I do like how it turned out with the paint and stain combination.

THE Dress
Love the Red, White and Blue
This is a recreation of a photograph I found in a magazine and it means a lot to me not only because I love the United States, but my mother was born on the 4th of July. I love the detail that I got into the roses and the coloring. This was painted using acrylic.
True Loves Kiss
Recreation of Lichtenstein, In the Car, 1963
I’m very proud of this piece of work. It is a recreation of Roy Lichtenstein’s, In the Car, 1963. I drew it free hand and then painted it using acrylic. I worked on capturing all of the details, but decided to leave out a few lines so it didn’t look too crowded.
